Strategic Fantasy Sports Releases the First Todd Lokken Fraud List for the 2010 NFL Season--WRs

It’s time to kick off the fantasy articles for the 2010 NFL season, and that marks the return of the Todd Lokken Fraud List. Our first analysis looks at the top 10 fraud wide receivers (and a fraud is simply a player who won’t live up to expectations).

Starting at number 10 and working our way down, here is the Todd Lokken Fraud list of WRs for 2010:

10. Chad Ochocinco (CIN)—He’s got to get old at some point, doesn’t he?

9. Donald Driver (GB)—started to lose ground to Greg Jennings at the end of 2009.

8. Randy Moss (NE)—we could be wrong here, but we just don’t like how 2009 went.

7. Steve Smith (NYG)—started strong in 2009, but faltered badly.

6. Percy Harvin (MIN)—has to be on the fraud list due to the migraines.

5. Brandon Marshall (MIA)—has to show us he isn’t a fraud first. It’s been a while.

4. Anquan Boldin (BAL)—Baltimore has never been a passing team.

3. Wes Welker (NE)—doesn’t that injury usually take a year to recover from?

2. Sidney Rice (MIN)—only if Brett Favre decides to retire.

1. Larry Fitzgerald (AZ)—hard to put him at the top, but losing Boldin and Warner should hurt.

There you have it—this week’s pre-draft fraud list. While these players should still have decent seasons, the performance most likely won’t meet the expectations. For example, Fitzgerald is first just because he will probably be one of the top 3 WRs taken; at the end of the year, he most likely won’t be in the top three in fantasy points (but will be top 10). That would make him a disappointment—a fraud.
